Diagnosis: Flat carcinoma in situ of the bladder with focal superficial invasion.    

            Comments: On cystoscopy erythematous granular patches were seen. Carcinoma in situ (pTis) was present along the total extension of all fragments resected. In one of the fragments there was superficial invasion of the corion (pT1) (Fig. 5). There was intense and diffuse hyperemia and no involvement of the muscularis mucosa.
